“When I’ve started my trip I had a clear idea in my head of how it’s gonna look like, I knew I’m gonna spend four months traveling through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam (one month for each country), and one of the things I really wanted to do is volunteer at English teaching school in Cambodia, but I did have my doubts about it… I was worried short-term helper is not really a help but someone who brings unnecessary confusion. Being in Phnom Phen I’ve discovered this ChildSafe Movement and I’ve learned about other ways to protect children while traveling. One of the things you could easily do is to buy local made products which income from will be used for education and family support. There are also some restaurants around the town which dining at supports the same cause.”
